InfoSol Solutions Draw Crowds at Business Objects Insight 2006
|
There was no shortage of new solutions and information to be absorbed at the Business Objects Insight 2006 Conference in San Francisco last week. The over 2,000 attendees were spoiled for choice at the breadth of business intelligence solutions on display at the Partner Showcase, and there was no busier spot than the InfoSol booth.
InfoSol demonstrated its new Distributed Dashboard solution for automatically refreshing and distributing Xcelsius dashboards, in addition to InfoBurst (report distribution, bursting, and publishing), Version Manager (version control for universes and reports), and Enterprise Manager (auditing of BusinessObjects users, queries, and universes). Many customers also stopped by to discuss InfoSol's services for XI R2 Migration and Education.
There appeared to be more of a distinct sense of purpose amongst many attendees this year, in that they had specific questions and needs to be addressed. In addition to the many inquiries about what is really involved in migrating to XI R2, a large number of attendees wanted to better understand the functionality and features of the BusinessObjects XI platform.
InfoSol consultants on-hand were able to address all of these inquiries and many attendees requested web casts and teleconferences to follow up with both XI R2 and the InfoSol add-on solutions after the conference.
If you would also like to schedule a teleconference or web cast to discuss XI R2, XI R2 Migration, or any of the InfoSol add-on solutions, click

XI R2 Migration Success Story using Enterprise Manager and Version Manager
The migration to XI is not a simple update or patch. It is a change in architecture and platform. It is also an opportunity to move to the new features and functionality. Tools such as Enterprise Manager can help in the assessment phase to determine who is using the product and what they are using in terms of reports and universes, data sources, databases, or stored procedures. Version Manager is an ideal tool to save all existing reports/universes and organize them into work units for the migration with the different phases of migration.
