RapidDecision Enterprise One Data Mart Solutions Now Available through InfoSol

InfoSol is now offering a comprehensive set of Data Mart Business Intelligence and Reporting solutions for the Enterprise One / JD Edwards ERP applications. Dashboards for the Masses Seminars Draw Crowds in Chicago

The weather forecast predicted thunderstorms for May 1 in Chicago and a large protest march was scheduled for downtown, but neither event kept the masses away from attending two capacity filled seminars on Xcelsius dashboards.

The seminars, sponsored by Business Objects, and delivered by Paul Grill, President and CEO of InfoSol, showcased some exciting examples of dashboard solutions developed by InfoSol using Xcelsius. The dashboard connectivity options were also presented and demonstrated live, including the new Query as a Web Service and InfoBurst-XDS. The breakfast seminar was held at McDonald's Hamburger University in Oakbrook with 110 customers in attendance, and the lunch seminar in downtown Chicago saw no less than 130 customers.

Business Objects also presented education options for Xcelsius, including Knowledge Accelerator customizable computer based training.

Several businesses in the Chicago area have recently started Xcelsius dashboard proof-of-concepts and many more are likely to do so as a result of the seminars.

In XI R2, you have the ability to copy data from a Web Intelligence report into other applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint. With this feature, you can copy entire report blocks (tables or charts) or specific data within a table.

With the recent release of the new XI R2 Productivity Pack from Business Objects, there are now several viable methods for providing back-end connectivity, quickly and effectively, to the data in your data warehouses, data marts or production systems. Additionally, the new Live Office in XI R2 allows data content in both Crystal and Web Intelligence reports to be fed through Excel into Xcelsius. This includes utilizing parts, like crosstabs, directly from the reports. In addition, the new Query as a Web Service (QaaWS) option, that is also available with the XI R2 Productivity Pack, provides a functionality to directly access data through a BusinessObjects universe, using a query panel, so that data can be retrieved real-time into any application, such as Xcelsius, then can consume data through a web service. InfoBurst XDS provides another effective and scalable method for retrieving data directly from a raw data source or through a query in BusinessObjects, Web Intelligence or Crystal Reports and transforming it for direct usage within Xcelsius.
