Changing the Aluminum Industry One Dashboard at a Time

Speakers Paul Grill, InfoSol Inc.
Abstract A recent article in the international trade magazine, Aluminium International Today, highlighted how dashboards are bringing about some very positive changes for aluminum-manufacturing companies. Both the case studies mentioned in the article were implemented using SAP BusinessObjects (also known as Xcelsius) dashboards. Not only did these business intelligence dashboards help improve productivity and save costs but they brought about some behavioral and cultural changes that were both unexpected and quite remarkable. This presentation will demonstrate these dashboards and discuss the surprising and extremely beneficial outcomes these companies achieved. In addition, some new prototype operational dashboards for the other aluminum industry companies will be shown.
